COURSE DESCRIPTION

Course objectives

The objective of this course is to develop the student’s abilities needed for experimental work and measurement processes. The course helps the student to understand the nature of the electrochemical reactions and the peculiarities of electrochemical kinetics.

Course enrolment requirements and entry competences required for the course

Enrolled in or passed the course Electrochemistry

Learning outcomes expected at the level of the course (4 to 10 learning outcomes)

By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- use theory to understand/predict experimental observations
- explain the nature of the electrochemical terms, the nature of electrochemical reactions, and the kinetics of electrochemical reactions
- plan and perform electrochemical experiments
- identify and demonstrate the safe and correct use of measurement and laboratory equipment
- perform measurements, analysis and testing in the laboratory with the appropriate lab equipments and software
- document scientific information and experimental data and write scientific reports, with graphical presentation of data
- demonstrate teamwork skills.
